Waterjet cutting has been around for many decades and has greatly advanced in technology since its beginnings.

Our water jet cutting equipment is used for cutting materials of different types and thicknesses.

The piece of machinery we use is capable of cutting materials with a thickness of up to two inches. We have the ability to design and cut materials to our customer specifications with our water jet cutting.

Waterjet cutting has been around for many decades and has greatly advanced in technology since its beginnings.

Waterjet cutting was once only used to cut soft materials but due to advancement, we now have the ability to cut through many different types of materials with precision. We can cut through non-metallic metals up to two inches thick.


A waterjet cutter utilizes the power of extremely high water pressures to make precise cuts through various materials. To widen the range of materials that a waterjet can cut through, granular abrasive material such as garnet is added to the high-pressure stream to give it more cutting power. A waterjet usually consists of three parts including a table, pump, and controller. The table holds the material that is being cut and catches waste from the cutting process. The high-pressure pump provides the pressurized water that comes out of the nozzle. Finally, the controller is a computer system that tells the machine exactly where to cut.


We use an OMAX waterjet for projects that require this type of cutting. OMAX waterjets have competitive cutting results when compared to other types of cutting like laser, milling, and punch press. Although there are advantages and disadvantages to using one form of cutting over another, waterjet cutting can handle many kinds of projects.


As mentioned before, waterjet equipment can be used to cut and design many different types of materials:


Waterjets can cut through metallic materials like aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel and other metals.

Natural materials

Waterjets can also be used to cut through natural materials like ceramic, granite, glass, marble, and more.


Carbon fiber, feroform, and fiberglass are some examples of composite materials that a waterjet can cut through.

Plastics and rubber

Finally, waterjets can be used to cut through plastic and rubber-like materials such as acrylic, foam, rubber, and polycarbonate.
